Dial 211

211 is here to help you find the right community and social services. In 2005 INCommunities began delivering information and referral services through 211, a three digit, easy to remember, free, phone service. Each call is answered by an Information and Referral Specialist and the service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
INCommunities is now one of six operators providing the 211 service to Ontario residents.
Dial 211 to ask about:

health services & supports
financial & social assistance
housing & utility help
children & youth services
food assistance & meal programs
seniors services & home care
government program assistance
parenting & family programs
disability support programs
newcomer services
volunteer organizations
and much more!

When you don’t know where to turn, turn to 211.
Trouble Dialing 2-1-1?
Telephone subscribers who have their own Private Branch Exchange (PBX) system or centrex line, common in large organizations such as municipal offices, hospitals, etc. will require the switch for 211 to be performed by the company’s own staff or through its maintenance agreement. Your phone system administrator or IT person should know if your organization has a PBX or centrex line. 
Additionally, many Voice Over Internet Protocol (VOIP) phone systems also cannot dial 211.
If your phone will not allow you to dial 211, 211 Central South can be reached by dialing 905-682-6611 or 1-800-263-3695.
